Privacy Policy
Notebook Flow — Your Private Digital Journal
1. Introduction
Welcome to Notebook Flow ("the App"). This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our notebook application. We believe in complete transparency and minimal data collection. This policy complies with Google Play Console requirements and applicable privacy laws.
By using Notebook Flow, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the App.
2. Information We Collect
We collect NO personal data. Notebook Flow is designed with privacy-first architecture:
- ❌ No Account We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
- ❌ No Tracking We do not use analytics, cookies, or tracking pixels.
- ❌ No Data Upload Your notes never leave your device.
- ❌ No Third-Party SDKs We do not integrate any advertising, analytics, or crash reporting SDKs.
- ❌ No Permissions The App does not request any device permissions (camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage — none).
The only data stored is the notes you create, which are saved exclusively in your browser's local storage (for web version) or device storage (for Android version). This data never leaves your control.
3. How Your Data Is Stored
Local Storage Only: All notes, titles, categories, and content are stored locally using your device's built-in storage mechanism (localStorage API for web, or internal app storage for native Android).
- Web Version: Data is stored in your browser's localStorage. This data remains on your device and is cleared only if you clear your browser data.
- Android Version: Data is stored in the app's private internal storage. No external storage access is required or used.
We do NOT: upload, sync, backup, or transmit your notes to any server, cloud service, or third party.
4. Data Security
Since all data remains on your device, you have full control over its security. We recommend:
- Using device-level encryption (PIN, pattern, fingerprint) to protect access to your device.
- Regularly backing up your device if you want to preserve your notes (the App itself does not offer cloud backup).
- Understanding that clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app will permanently delete your notes.
While we implement best practices in code, no security system is 100% foolproof. However, because no data is transmitted, the risk surface is extremely minimal.
5. Children's Privacy
Notebook Flow does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The App does not require any personal data and is safe for all ages. Parents and guardians can be assured that no data collection occurs.
6. Third-Party Services
None. Notebook Flow does not use any third-party services, libraries, or APIs that collect data. The App is completely self-contained. No Google Analytics, Firebase, Crashlytics, AdMob, Facebook SDK, or any other tracking tools are present.
7. Your Rights and Control
Because we don't store any of your data on external servers, you have complete control:
- View: All your notes are visible within the App.
- Edit: You can modify or delete any note at any time.
- Delete All Data: Uninstall the App or clear browser data to permanently remove all notes.
- Export: You can manually copy your notes (the App does not auto-export).
No requests to access, modify, or delete data need to be sent to us — you hold the keys to your own data.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App and on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via the App interface.

10. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
GDPR (European Union): Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data to process, store, or transfer. The App is fully GDPR-compliant by design — no consent needed because no data collection occurs.
CCPA (California): We do not sell, share, or collect any personal information. California residents have no data to request deletion of, as no data is held by us.
